Greece

Today in class we continued taking notes on the powerpoint from Greece. I feel like we are spending so much time on Greece but that is because we are having a big test on it soon. Today I learned that some people thought that Homer never existed and that people heard about these stories through their families and it past down generation through generation. Also we spent a lot of time talking about the Odyssey and we heard a story from it because Mr. Schick read some of it to us. This is all what we did in Western Civilization.

Alexander the Great

Alexander the Great Alexander the Great was known as the king of the ancient greek kingdom and Macedon and a member of the Argead dynasty. Alexander was born in Pella in 356 BC and succeeded his father Phillip II ti the throne at the age of twenty. Alexander was born on July 356 and died on June 323. In his lifetime he had three spouses. One of his famous quotes was "There is nothing impossible to him who will try." This is a little about Alexander the Great.

Rome by Chi Chicago

Today in Western Civ. class we listened to a song called Rome that was written by Chi Chicago. I thought it was really funny and a really catchy song. It made today's lesson really fun because it was really different from what we are used to be doing in Western Civ. class. The song had a lot of good information about Rome in it that I heard which was really cool. I really liked today's Western Civ. class.
