Today in Human Geography we finished the powerpoint on the five major religions of the world. I feel like I am very ready for my quiz tomorrow because I made a quizlet and studied a lot. I have everything memorized I just wished that we had a little bit more time to prepare for this quiz rather than having one day in advance. I like this unit because I like learning about all of the religions because I find it very interesting.
Today in Human Geography class we started the religion unit. Today we covered Christianity which we learned is the number one most practiced religion in the world, and we covered Islamic which is the second most practiced religion in the world. We took lots of notes today that will hopefully help me study and prepare for Friday's fifty point quiz on the five most common religions in the world. I did really well on the population, migration, and population pyramid test because I got a 94/100 on it!! I think that I deserved this grade because I studied a lot for it which is why I probably received the grade I got. Hopefully we will get our tests back soon. This concludes what we did in Human Geography class today November 20th.
Today in Human Geography we took a test on population, migration, and population pyramids. I feel like the test went pretty well for me and that it was easy. There were only a few questions that I felt like I was a little confused about but hopefully I got them right. I finished the test with a good amount of time left in class so that I could get my blog post done and out of the way for the day. I hope then I at least get an A or a B on this test because I studied a lot for it.
Today in Human Geography we watched and discussed the population pyramid's video. I have a really good understanding of the whole population, migration, and population pyramid unit. We have a test on Monday that I feel like I am very prepared for because I have been studying a lot and I took very good notes for this unit. After we watched the video we had time to start and finish our blogs. We also watched jeopardy and there was a category called tropic of Capricorn in which we talked about this in class!!
In today's human geography class we went over the whole power point because we have a test on Monday. I feel like I am pretty much ready for this test because I understand everything. I am still going to study a lot so that I understand it. The only thing I am not 100% sure of is the population pyramid. So I will go over those. I had time to finish this blog in class and after I am done this blog I have class time to do whatever.
In yesterdays Human Geography class we presented our presentations on developing countries. i was given Congo. I had to tell the class about Congo's economy. My slide had to be at least 2 minutes long and staying within the time limit was very hard for me because it is hard for me to speak for two minutes in front of me. Overall I feel like my group did very well yesterday and hopefully we all got a good grade on it. Public speaking is something I am still working on so hopefully I will get better at it within the next four years of my life.
Today in Human Geography class we took some time to go over questions that will be on the exams in December. We were also told that we will be given a pop quiz later this week. I feel like I am really ready for the pop quiz. Exams are going to be really tough because it is a lot of information to remember. I am going to have to go back to our other units and study a lot for the exams. Mr. Schick told us that there is going to be over 100 questions on the semester exam which I feel like is a lot of questions but, he was told to keep us busy for an hour and a half which makes sense why the test would be so long.
Yesterday in Human Geo Mr. Schick was not in class so we all had to go to Mrs. Gauthier's room to work on the assignment that he left for us to do. We had to go on the Fact book and find interesting facts that were not trivia facts but facts on population and net migration and facts about the population pyramid. I learned how many countries are rapidly increasing and how so many are decreasing and some are just leveling out. I didn't finish the assignment in class so I finished it in a different mod so that I wouldn't have to do it for homework.
Fact 1: The USA has the third highest population in the world. Compared to the first two it is very far behind from taking 2nd or first. The us population is just going to keep growing and growing. Fact 2: The USA has the 35 highest net migration rate. I am surprised that it is not at a higher number because the USA is a country were a lot of people want to migrate to because there is a lot more opportunity's there for jobs, better health care services, etc. Fact 3: The world population is growing very fast and if it grows to fast out world will be starting to become very overpopulated which would be a really big problem. People are trying to have less children so that the population will slow down a bit. Fact 4: Women outlive men in almost every country. Most women out live men because women are more cautious of themselves, and of their surroundings. They also go to the doctor a lot more then most men do because they worry about themselves. Fact 5: A lot of people want to
I was not here on Thursday's class.
