Today in Human Geography class we finished the power point presentation on Grids and time zones. Today we focused mainly on Longitude. I learned that the lines of longitude are known as meridians. The meridians are all equal in length and they are halves of great circles. We also talked about how Eratosthenes was the first person to ever attempt to draw out a map. We learned about all of the significant parallels of latitude also. We also turned on the lights for the first time in class!! We have a map test tomorrow on North and Central America countries and South America countries.
